OCCUPATIONAL DERMATITIS IN THE CATERING INDUSTRY
Occupational hand dermatitis in food handlers and kitchen staff is one of the main causes of ill health in the catering industry. Fifty-five percent of all skin problems in the industry are caused by contact with water, soaps and detergents, with a further 40% of cases arising from contact with food.
